Sizes of Different Posters

With the different sizes of the film posters; this helps in deciding what type of image that you best think will grab the audience’s attention, this is all dependant on were the poster is placed and what size it is.  

For my poster it would have to be in a portrait orientation; it could with either (to UK standards) be:

This then helps with the planning of the poster; as you have to make sure that it’s not cramped, or that is not got enough information on it. From comparing the two; I have decided that the best size (for me) would be the 27 inches x 40 inches, as this is the most common one used and would fit the poster conventions better than the 20 inches x 20 inches.
